The sociology minor allows students from other disciplines to gain a foundation in sociological research and an introduction to evidence-based interpretations of contemporary social problems.
The Department of Sociology requires six courses for the minor:
- SOC 101 Introduction to Sociology or SOC 102 Global Social Problems
- SOC 202 Research Methods
- SOC 352 Contemporary Sociological Theory
- Three additional sociology electives.
The course distribution allows students to minor in sociology with a concentration in one of the three tracks.
