Minor In Sociology

The sociology minor allows students from other disciplines to gain a foundation in sociological research and an introduction to evidence based interpretations of contemporary social problems.

The Sociology Department requires six courses for the minor:

  • SOC 101. Introduction to Sociology or SOC 102. Global Social Problems
  • SOC 202. Research Methods
  • SOC 352. Contemporary Sociological Theory
  • And any three additional sociology electives.

Our course distribution allows students to minor in Sociology with a concentration in one of our three tracks.

For a list of elective courses, check the curriculum page under Undergraduate Programs.

  • To view the complete schedule of courses for each semester, go to Cardinal Station.
